The exhibition

Chamber of Hearts – our project lab

In February, our project room known as the Chamber of Hearts was opened to visitors and project groups at the museum. Our aim was to open up the newly renovated room as a participation forum for visitors’ contributions before the actual exhibition opened. Those interested could already take part in the future exhibition with their thoughts and ideas on the ‘Wall of Love’ and at the wedding table. Media workshops for groups entitled ‘That’s family!’ were also being held in the Chamber of Hearts.
In early May, it was remodelled for the exhibition ‘Lots of Love’.

Presentation of the interactive exhibition ‘Lots of Love’

The centrepiece of the travelling exhibition are media stations showing animated entries from our story contest. But there's lots of other things to discover, for example the “love meter“, where partners can test the strenght of their affection!

The four thematic rooms

The exhibition revolves around four thematic areas. In the ‘kitchen-living room’, attention is paid to what it’s like to live together with other people in a family or a shared home. The ‘bathroom’ revolves around the individual and their own desires, longings and doubts. The ‘bedroom’ is a place to sleep, a retreat, and a place to cuddle. And the ‘children’s room’ takes a look at other generations. Do I want to live like my parents or grandparents? How do I perceive them and their relationships? And how do they affect me?

The exhibition opened at UNIKATUM Children’s Museum on 12 May 2018.

Enquiries to hire the exhibition from March 2019:
